Meet Copper! Copper is a coonhound, tri color, very active and loves to run and play. He loves loves people!!! He is about 4 years old. Copper was found in a concrete drainage ditch so tiny that he could hardly move. Someone heard his cries and saw where he was. It took them a long time to get him out since it was so deep and narrow. He was emaciated. His left eye had some damage done to it at one time and we thought he might be blind in that eye but the vet feels like he does have some vision. He does not seem at all bothered by it or hindered in any way. We treated the eye with tobramycin and it seem better. It does and will always have a blue haze to it. He is very sweet and so loving. He is good with other dogs but does like to eat by himself. He was heartworm positive but has successfully gone through treatment and is doing great. He has gained tons of weight. Copper was only about 40 pounds when he was rescued and thankfully has gained some weight and is now approximately 75 lbs. He is very active now and loves to eat!! Copper is currently in TN, and will be transported to New England for adoption. His adoption donation is $350 which includes his transport and a microchip. Effective February 1, xxxx a Quarantine Fee of $75 will be required (in addition to the adoption fee) to adopt a dog that has been Quarantined in MA or NH state. These states mandate that all dogs entering either MA or NH shall be quarantined for 48 hours in a state approved facility. The quarantine fee shall be paid by the adopter either directly to the Quarantine Facility or to Angels Among Us Animal Rescue depending on whether you pick your dog up at the Quarantine Facility or through a MA or NH foster family.
