How beautiful is Ginger??? Look at the gorgeous red coloring!!! Ginger is a pit bull terrier who is 2.5 yrs old and weighs 42 pounds. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, HW negative and on HW and flea preventative. Ginger's former owners moved and left her chained to her dog house with no food or water. Her concerned neighbor brought her to our attention. Ginger is house broken and will bark to get your attention when she needs to go outside other than that Ginger is not a barker. She walks well on a leash but needs firm reminders not to pull. Ginger knows how to sit, shake, give high fives and loves to play ball! She loves all people, including children. Even after her family abandoned her, she has complete trust of humans. She has no food aggression and has no problem getting her toenails trimmed or other vetting done. She loves to run super-fast around the backyard for no apparent reason at all, except to experience the freedom from no longer being chained. She sleeps with her foster family at night and she loves to cuddle. She a complete love bug! Ginger has fear issues with other dogs and has to be an only pet. She has been assessed by a professional trainer and was able to walk and do commands with the trainer's dog next to her. The trainer said that with work, she will overcome this issue. Ginger is smart and a very quick learner but needs someone who will be very firm with her when around other dogs. Ginger is currently in TN but will be transported to New England for adoption. Effective March 1, xxxx any dog fostered in CT and adopted to a home in CT will require an additional 45$ fee for a post transport Health Certificate. Effective February 1, xxxx a Quarantine Fee of $75 will be required (in addition to the adoption fee) to adopt a dog that has been Quarantined in MA or NH state. These states mandate that all dogs entering either MA or NH shall be quarantined for 48 hours in a state approved facility. The quarantine fee shall be paid by the adopter either directly to the Quarantine Facility or to Angels Among Us Animal Rescue depending on whether you pick your dog up at the Quarantine Facility or through a MA or NH foster family.
