Meet Deserae! Deserae is a lab mix, approx 2 yrs old and on the shy side. She is about 35 pounds and was dumped along with her pup (Indy) at a lake in Arkansas a few months ago. People living along the lakeshore fed them for a few months but were scared the two would get killed on the roads and asked if AAUAR could rehome them. Deserae is a great mid sized dog, and is coming out of her shell nicely. She is doing well with other dogs in the foster home she is at. She tested positive for heart worm and is going through her treatment soon. Deserae has had a rough past but seems to be adjusting to being off the streets better than her puppy who is quite timid. Deserae is currently in TN but will be transported to New England for adoption after her spay. Her adoption donation is $300 which includes her transport and a microchip. Effective February 1, xxxx a Quarantine Fee of $75 will be required (in addition to the adoption fee) to adopt a dog that has been Quarantined in MA or NH state. These states mandate that all dogs entering either MA or NH shall be quarantined for 48 hours in a state approved facility. The quarantine fee shall be paid by the adopter either directly to the Quarantine Facility or to Angels Among Us Animal Rescue depending on whether you pick your dog up at the Quarantine Facility or through a MA or NH foster family.
